HOW CAN I ORDER THE ASIAN NOSEPAD?
The DELTA and STRATOS models have the standard European nose pad. If you require an Asian nose pad, please add the checkbox before add the product in the shopping cart.
IF I CYCLE OR I RUN, WHICH LENSES SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Whatever form of sport you enjoy, the choice of lens should be determined by the environmental conditions and personal preference. Whether you start your session in the rain while climbing a mountain, then the sun comes out: our diverse range of lenses guarantees perfect protection and vision in all weather conditions. You can find more information on materials and colours here.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF LENSES AND FRAMES?
To ensure your pair of ALBA Optics have a long and happy life, we believe practical maintenance and a little TLC is key. For example, after finishing a cyclo-cross race and your face resembles a bog monster, gently wash the lens and frame with your fingertips using water and a neutral detergent to rid of mud and dirt. Use a microfibre glasses cloth (included in your glasses-case) to wipe them dry. Additionally, if you’ve been running and perspiring heavily, your lenses could be foggy due to sweat condensation. If that’s the case, take off your glasses, let them dry and in a few seconds, they’ll be as good as new.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE LENSES FOR STRATOS AND DELTA?
It is very easy, provided you are a determined and self-assured person. First, wash your hands and use your microfibre cloth to prevent touching the lens with your fingers. Holding the lens firmly in one hand, use the other hand to push the nose pad downward so it unclips from the lower central gap in the lens. Next, widen one of the two front sides of the frame and pull out the lens.
In order to re-insert the lens, you should follow the process in reverse: insert one of top edges into the frame sides, then push the second side into place. Next, push onto the nose pad, attaching it to the lens; be careful as in that spot the lens is very sharp, and can damage the frame.
DO YOU SELL PRESCRIPTION GLASSES?
Unfortunately, no. If you wear contact lenses, you may be able to use our glasses. Additionally, we will be releasing an Optical Clip compatible with DELTA and STRATOS and can be fitted with prescription lenses (by your trusted optician). Our models ANVMA and FERRO can also be fitted with prescription lenses by your trusted optician if preferred.
WHY DON’T YOU SELL POLARIZED GLASSES?
Unless you cycle or run on water, polarized lenses are not useful for the environments our glasses are typically worn in. Polarized lenses also affect the appearance of smartphone and computer screens, this is one of the reasons that we don’t feature them in our range.
