ARE YOUR LENSES CERTIFIED?
Yes, of course. All our lenses are certified to guarantee an UV400 protection, defending your eyes against potentially damaging UV rays.
They have this requirement: American standard ANSI Z80.3-2001, Australian standard AS/NZS 1067:2003 and EN Standard 1836-1997 Community Directive 89/686/EEC.
IF I CYCLE OR I RUN, WHICH LENSES SHOULD I CHOOSE?
If you decide to go out running or cycling, the choice of the lenses is only related to the weather conditions. We offer a complete range of lenses to guarantee the perfect protection and vision, whether it is raining or you are climbing a mountain and the sun comes out. Here you can find more information on materials and colours.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF LENSES AND FRAMES?
In order to ensure a long lasting life to your ALBA pair of glasses, you should get used to take good care of them. After finishing a ciclocross race and your face looks like a bog monster, use water and a neutral detergent in order to get rid of mud and dirt in general. Use the microfibre cloth, attached to your glasses-case to wipe them dry. When you finish running, your lenses could be all foggy due to face perspiration. If that’s the case, take off your glasses, let them dry and in a few seconds they’ll be as good as new.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE LENSES?
It is very easy, provided you are a determined and self-assured person. First of all wash your hands and use your microfibre cloth to prevent touching the lenses with your fingers. Push onto the nose pad and let it slip from the inner gap. Then widen one of the two front sides of the frame and pull out the lens.
In order to insert the lens, you should follow the process backwards: insert the top edge into one of the two frame sides and then push onto the nose pad, attaching it to the lens; be careful as in that spot the lens is very sharp and it could damage the frame.
DO YOU SELL PRESCRIPTION GLASSES?
Unfortunately no, if you wear contact lenses, you may be able to use our glasses.
WHY DON’T YOU SELL POLARIZED GLASSES?
Unless you cycle or run on water, polarized lenses are not useful and they prevent a clear view of smartphones and computers, that’s the reason why we don’t have them in our range.
